Spring House Needle Minder and Bee Tutorial

I completed all of the embroidery stitches on the cream colored house piece first. The 1st/bottom layer door and the 2nd/top layer door are Whip-Stitched on their left sides to the cream house piece. Then I adhered the cream house piece to the gold background and Blanket Stitched it into place. I added and stitched the rest of the pieces of the house.
I folded the gray background in half; then I Blanket Stitched the gold background onto the gray front of the book. I then placed the blue pocket on the interior left of the book; I let it hang out about 1/4" because I liked seeing some of the col on the front. I used a Running Stitch to secure in into place, leaving the right side open so I could store threads in that pocket.

I added a large black paper clip (stitched into place) on the blue pocket so I could keep a couple of plastic thread bobbins there. The labels were printed on transfer paper, ironed to white fabric, cut out and added. If you want to add embellishments like mine, add them before you stitch the blue pocket into place.

As noted above, when the door is hinged/Whip Stitched on the left, it can then be opened. Needles can be stashed on the back layer of the door.

I completed the bee as per pattern instructions. I stitched the flower petals into place on the cream colored/right side pocket top. After adding embroidery on the flowers; I used a Whip Stitch to add the cream color pocket to the gold pocket, leaving the top edge open. I then used a Running Stitched to add the gold pocket to the gray background.

I bought the key charm, buttons, and Made with Love charm (by the flowers) from Hobby Lobby.
